A high-energy employability workshop where students work in teams to respond to a live brief and create a social media campaign.

Students take on real-world roles, develop ideas and pitch their campaign, building confidence, communication and teamwork throughout. The session strengthens their ability to articulate skills, think creatively and understand how organisations use content in practice.

Delivered without the need for devices, Content Clash provides a structured and engaging way for students to experience elements of the workplace and interact with employer insight.

  • Key Stage: KS4–KS5 (adaptable for KS3)
Gatsby Benchmarks: 5 (Encounters with Employers), 6 (Experiences of Workplaces)

A structured series of employer-aligned workshops designed in line with EqualEx principles of high-quality, modern work experience.

Students engage with real employers, explore different career pathways and complete practical tasks that mirror workplace expectations. Across the series, they build confidence, develop their understanding of transferable skills and strengthen their ability to articulate what they can offer.

Each session is designed to feel purposeful and progressive, combining; employer insight, practical activity and structured reflection, ensuring young people leave with clearer direction, stronger communication skills and meaningful exposure to the world of work.

  • Key Stage: KS3–KS4 (adaptable for KS5)
Gatsby Benchmarks: 5 (Encounters with Employers), 6 (Experiences of Workplaces)

A fast-paced, employer-aligned workshop where students work in teams to design a social media campaign to positively promote their school.

Students respond to a live brief, take on roles within a marketing team and develop an idea designed to “go viral” — considering audience, messaging and why people engage with content. They then deliver a 60-second pitch, building confidence, communication and teamwork.

The session introduces real careers in content creation and digital marketing, highlighting how these roles operate across industries and the growing demand for digital skills in the UK.

Delivered without the need for devices, Go Viral provides a structured, engaging experience of workplace-style thinking, helping students understand how creativity, storytelling and collaboration translate into real opportunities.

THE NEED

Youth unemployment remains consistently higher than the national average.

Research shows that young people with four or more meaningful employer encounters are significantly less likely to become NEET.

Yet access to those encounters remains uneven.

We work to ensure young people experience:

  • Direct employer engagement

  • Structured articulation practice

  • Safe environments to build confidence

  • Clear progression pathways

extended offer

Alongside our core programmes, we offer additional experiences that provide meaningful employer engagement and broaden exposure to different pathways.

  • High-impact sessions designed to engage large groups, introduce key employability themes and challenge perceptions around careers and opportunity. Assemblies focus on confidence, agency and helping students recognise what they can offer.

  • Structured discussions with employers from a range of industries, giving students direct access to real career journeys, honest insight and the opportunity to ask questions. Panels are facilitated to ensure relevance, clarity and engagement.

  • A dynamic format where students rotate between employers in short, focused conversations. This builds confidence in speaking to professionals, strengthens communication skills and increases exposure to different sectors in a short space of time.
